Liar's Dice is designed privacy-first. No analytics SDKs, no advertising, no in-app purchases, no third-party tracking. This page explains what limited data the app does handle, and why.
Your dice, stats, and gameplay live on your device. Multiplayer rooms ride on Apple's iCloud so different devices can stay in sync. Sign in with Apple is optional and only used to carry your stats across your own devices. We don't run analytics, sell data, advertise, or track you.

This data never leaves your device unless you opt into Sign in with Apple (below).
When you create or join a private multiplayer room, the app uses Apple's CloudKit service to synchronize game state — the room code, player list, current bids, and dice states — between the devices in that room. CloudKit data is associated with your Apple ID and managed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have direct access to your Apple ID, name, or email through CloudKit.
Active rooms are temporary. Rooms auto-close after 5 minutes of lobby inactivity, and finished games are cleaned up automatically.
If — and only if — you tap "Sign in with Apple" in the app's Settings, we receive an anonymous Apple-issued user identifier. We use it for one purpose: to associate your stats with your account so they sync across your own iPhone and iPad. We do not request or store your name or email through Sign in with Apple. You can stop using Sign in with Apple at any time from iOS Settings.
The app uses Apple's MetricKit framework, which delivers aggregated, anonymous diagnostic and crash reports. These reports help us find and fix bugs. They do not include personal information.
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising, analytics, or any commercial purpose. The only data leaving your device is:
All three travel via Apple's infrastructure and are governed by Apple's privacy practices in addition to ours.
The app is rated 4+ and is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal data from anyone for advertising or analytics, this applies universally.

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under the GDPR and CCPA. Given that the app does not run analytics or collect personal data for commercial purposes, most of those rights are satisfied by deletion (uninstall) or by managing your iCloud account directly.
All data leaving the device travels via encrypted Apple frameworks (CloudKit over HTTPS, iCloud-managed Sign in with Apple, MetricKit). On-device data is protected by iOS's standard data-protection mechanisms.
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, surface a notice inside the app. We encourage you to check back occasionally.
